Basketball Player Throws Photographer For A Hoop
We know the saying is that someone is ‘thrown for a loop’ but we couldn’t pass up the invariable pun for Lauren’s favorite sport. Lauren McKeen is a senior this year at Frisco Liberty High School, and a star player on their varsity basketball team. While having her hair and makeup done, Lauren told our team that she plans on playing in college next year and we can’t wait to see where she decides to go!
As we worked through a few poses in the studio to loosen up, Lauren told us that she lives in Newman Village just down the street from the studio! So we...
Senior Blows Photographer Away
We trudged up the hill of Mt. Zion Cemetery to the music of honking horns, bulldozers, and the general white noise of construction. The once gorgeous hill located off of 423 and mere minutes from our studio, was now surrounded by dirt mounds and bright orange cones. You would think that we would just throw in the hat and move on to a different location. But, no. Our team was determined to show off Liberty High School Senior, Lauren Burrell, and to capture some bright and lovely photos of her among the tall grass and trees that Mt. Zion is well-known for.
It’s no surprise to our team that we were able to grab beautiful shots of Lauren, even with John Deere singing his heart out just behind her. This All-American Diver is no stranger to focus, and she just smiled through the noise and as...
How To Get A Newborn To Fall Asleep
Most people know how little sleep most people get when they have a new baby, and now we know why! Getting a newborn to fall asleep can be very difficult, and this was something we discovered when we had sweet L.J. in our studio for his newborn portraits.
L.J.’s mom was another friend of the team, so when we learned that she only had hospital photos of little L.J. there was no hesitation to have them into the studio for a short session. However...
Senior Falls In Creek
This stunning senior model rep didn’t actually fall into the creek at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve – she willingly (and quite gracefully we might add) laid down in the cold creek for a unique photo op.
Lone Star High School senior Morgan Stewart is not a stranger to hard work. With a spring in her step, she waltzed into our studio, smile on her face and hair up in a ponytail. Morgan told our team while one of our hair and makeup artists was working her magic that not only is she a senior for her drill team, the Rangerettes, but that she also works part-time at Chick-fil-A! She told us that although it’s a lot of...
McKeen Sisters' Hair Catches Fire During Session
The McKeen sisters, Lauren and Savannah, truly live up to their Scottish heritage. With freckles for days, and hair like a stunning red blaze, these lovely ladies can attract a crowd wherever they go! Along with their mom and dad, this family is just gorgeous!
We met them at their neighborhood’s clubhouse...
Senior Sparkles During Her Senior Portrait Session
Forever fearless, Elite Model Lauren Johnson balanced precariously on the ledge. The last time we saw this gorgeous young lady, she had climbed up a wall at Addison Circle, and now she was walking the line between an amazing photo and disaster.
Lauren comes to us from quaint Kingston, Oklahoma, where she is a cheerleader at Kingston High School. Not only is Lauren a cheerleader – she...
HELP! We're Under Attack By Zombies
It seemed unreal. Who could have thought that it would actually happen? People who died, were supposed to stay dead. Right? Luckily for us senior model rep, Brooke Harden, jokingly brought a shovel along with her for her senior portrait session after the morning news warned that there was an outbreak of a virus that causes insanity. We noticed a few things were off as we caravanned to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. For one, the traffic was suspiciously...
Senior Nearly Falls Off Car During Senior Shoot
There are few people in this world that are as sweet as John Paul II high school senior, Kaitlyn Batson. With a face full of freckles, Kaitlyn told our team that she’s always trying to keep a smile on our face, and she easily put one on ours!
After a short warm-up in the studio, Kaitlyn led our team around Downtown McKinney in the cool fall air. With some neat textured walls and old brick, we found...
Family Fights Off Hoard of Bugs For Prime Spot in Front of Fountain
Bold colors for a bold family, the Batsons had us on our toes for their family session!
We met this fun and wonderful family when Kaitlyn came to us for her senior portraits. We love when our senior clients come back to us for their family Christmas pictures, especially...
Dallas Girl Witnesses Horrible Incident
Our team stood ridged. It never had a chance of surviving, and there was nothing we could do to save it. In one fail swoop, it was taken alive, wrapped up, and eaten by a giant banana spider. Our team was frozen in space, riveted and slightly bugged out by the speed at which the grasshopper met its...
Senior Schools Us In How To Be Sassy But Kind
There are many things we like about Senior Model Rep Gabriele Norsworthy. She’s an all-state choir member, a beast on the volleyball court, and an honor roll student to boot. But what we love most about this elite model is her dry sense of humor.
After calling Tyler out on one of his famous dad jokes, Gabi had our team rolling on the ground in Downtown McKinney. She even joked that she likes her coffee as black as her soul, but our team knows that she’s sweeter than...
Snow White Appears In The Flesh
"People tell me that all of the time! I think it’s the dark hair.” Senior Model Rep, Samantha Bradley, just laughed when our team told her she reminded them of the Disney princess, Snow White. And although she’s probably heard it over and over again until her ears were bleeding, this stunning beauty was nothing but kind about it – even telling our team that she was thinking about being Snow White for Halloween.
A senior this year at Heritage High School, Samantha was the last senior to join...
The Garrett Family Takes Mt. Zion Cemetery
Our beloved Mt. Zion Cemetery location was in ruins. Surrounding the once scenic hill were construction trucks, bright yellow tape, and the beginnings of a new neighborhood in North Dallas. This was not going to deter our team from having the Garrett’s family portrait session though!
After a lot of pre-planning – which is...
Senior Torn Between Canada and the US
Ok, we’re exaggerating. Heritage High School Senior Markee Williamson has lived in the US for over seven years, so she’s obviously happy living here. Although, she did tell us while we explored Downtown Prosper that she missed poutine, a Canadian delicacy that includes french fries and a large amount of gravy. Our team thinks that we would miss that too.
Markee first reached out to us over the summer, and told us how excited she was to be a senior and how pumped she was to have her senior photos with us! So it was no surprise that we were equally as excited when we were able to have her session soon after school started. With the year slowly moving toward the holidays, and the days begin to shorten, our team was a little nervous we would run out of light before heading out to Downtown Prosper. Luckily for us, we were right on schedule and Markee got some amazing photos of the sunset with her cute red Mini Cooper.
After waving the Canadian flag...
Talented Senior Stops Traffic
Most high school kids these days are busier than a hive of bees. If they’re not on the field, then they’re in a study hall. If they’re not in study hall then they’re at work or running to a club meeting or a student council. It’s very obvious that today’s generation is doing their best to excel and to stand out among the crowd. But why? One word: scholarships.
And the talented Senior Model Rep Jocelynn Livingston has proven herself worthy of one. Not surprisingly, it can be very difficult...
Splish Splash! This Senior Had A Blast
When Senior Model Rep, Maddie Snowden, approached us asking if we could do a short swim shoot, our team was more than excited. Our studio is equipped with a large variety of backgrounds and props, but one of our favorite features...
Senior or Mermaid? You Decide
For someone who spends close to 50% of her time in the pool, Heritage High School Senior, Maddie Snowden, was more than willing to jump in the water for our team. We were not at all surprised that Maddie was friends with alumni senior model rep, Hannah Mabile, who had a swim session with us back in 2014. These two girls...
When Props Attack
All smiles, Carly brought her armful of clothes into our studio, ready to begin her senior shoot. You most definitely recognize this gorgeous Senior Model Rep from her previous shoots with us (Rock n’ Roll, Hipster, and her best friend shoot with Kyra) and we couldn’t be happier to have her back in our studio!
The second eldest of five, Carly is extremely impressive as a leader and scored an officer position on her dance team at Heritage High School. As we walked around Downtown McKinney, Carly told us that she’s been looking forward to her senior year and the fun events like Homecoming and Prom!
Unfortunately, just because there was a gorgeous blue sky and a beautiful model doesn’t mean that we were without our moment of terror. Carly’s mom, Tina, had brought a really neat vintage chair and told our team she wanted a few photos of Carly in it in the middle of a field. We got the chair set up, and after some great sitting poses, Tyler asked Carly to sit on the back of it. Little did we know that the chair was already top-heavy. As soon as...
Worlds Collide When These Two Seniors Meet
Lauren Johnson and Savannah Rutherford didn’t really know each other at the beginning of their shoot – but it soon became apparent that the world is a small place when they realized that they actually did know each other!
Lauren’s best friend is actually Savannah’s cousin! What’s even more interesting is that Lauren lives in Oklahoma, and Savannah is a Frisco local. Our team laughed in astonishment when the girls finally made the connection to one another and as we walked around Addison Circle we could...
Football Player Breaks Stereotypes and Amazes Photographer
Everyone knows the stories, the movies, even the comics. The jocks, usually football players, bully the underdog and are seen as gruesome representations of oversized teenagers. Not this time!
Senior Model Rep, Jake Ray, has to be the nicest guy on the planet. Tall and broad shouldered, Jake certainly fits into the football world, but after the sessions we’ve had the pleasure to photograph him in, we can definitely say that Jake breaks all pretenses of the stereotypical football player. Not only is Jake kind, but he is extremely talented and told our team that he’s positive that...
