Such a fun session! Video Games, Tshirt Collection, and LOTS of Socks

With a world full of pixels, anything is possible. This is one of the many reasons why Liberty Christian Academy High School senior, Dante, wants to go to school next year to study to become a game developer! We had the pleasure of working with Dante for his senior photos and we learned quite a bit about this wonderful north Dallas senior!

Dante is the kind of guy who not only loves video games, but has a very strong faith as well. Active with his church and a leader for youth group, Dante loves spreading the word of God and praying with his family. He is also...

Such a fun session! Hear It From a Senior: Maddie Cox

Maddie is one of our lovely 2017 Senior Model Reps from Lone Star High School! She sent us this lovely message and we needed to share it with everyone:

"The Tyler R. Brown Photography Company is nothing short of amazing! My senior pictures were everything I could have ever wanted and beyond! Working with their team was such an amazing experience all around! When I first started to choose my locations they were so helpful in throwing in suggestions of places with such character that I had never heard of.

That’s one of the many amazing parts of being a Senior Model Rep, you get to travel around the DFW area and view so many wonderful places with such character that are so unique that you would have never even thought of...

Such a fun session! Roses Are Red and Violet is Alana's Hair Color

Alana is a diamond in the rough and an amazing Top Model! Instead of one regular session, she wanted three mini sessions spread out through the year. We LOVED this idea, especially because Alana’s hair is ever changing.

Our first session was in Deep Ellum, which is perfect fit for Alana’s bright personality! We took full advantage of all the amazing murals in the area and had a few run ins with the locals for a full experience!

Our second session was at Arbor Hills in Plano...

One of the goals for the Boy Scouts of America is to make sure their scouts are “Prepared.For.Life”. This means that they learn a ton of different skills and earn patches as they master these different skills and techniques that help them in their lives. Whether it’s camping or sewing – once they master enough skills, these awesome scouts earn the title of Eagle Scout – the highest honor in the society. And our new favorite Eagle Scout is Frisco High School senior, Ben Whytlaw!

We had Ben’s seniority session on a warm day last fall, and

Such a fun session! From One End of DFW to the Other

To kick off our amazing 2018 senior model rep team, we had three of our awesome models (Landri, McKenzie, and Riley) meet us out at Las Colinas to have a photo shoot around the magnificent Mustangs of Las Colinas!

It was a rainy day, but the rain had let off as soon as we pulled up to William’s Square and everyone was in a great mood. We grabbed McKenzie as the other two models were polishing off their looks, when we were approached by a very angry security guard. After being investigated, the security guard told us that we would need to get permission from management. No problem there – we

Such a fun session! Pretty Flowers and Smelly Creeks

A popular spot in Dallas, Texas for senior photos is the gorgeous Dallas Arboretum where you can see all of the stunning flowers and water features that they have to offer! The only downside is that the arboretum closes at 5pm – which most people know that from the months of March – November means that we will be shooting at the hottest time of the day. That didn’t deter Alvarado High School senior, Taylor Raby, though – and we are so glad it didn’t!

Taylor, her mom, her nephew, and her boyfriend all met us at the studio on a bright Saturday morning for hair and makeup. We chatted about the beautiful day, as well as the heat which for a Saturday in November was in the 90’s (Texas, right?). We

Such a fun session! Senior on the Prairie

Ally Smith isn’t a whole like the characters from Little House on the Prairie, but being a Texas senior definitely means that we are plenty of prairies, fields, and just generally open land in abundance. And this particular prairie was right behind her house!

We met Ally and her family at their home out on some cattle land in Celina, Texas. We took a few photos around the pool and when our team saw the stunning acres their home is backed up to, we asked if we could hop the fence to grab a few photos! The Smiths are good friends with the neighbors who own the land, and after a quick phone call we h

Such a fun session! A Disney Princess in Leathers and Kendra Scott

For Frisco seniors in 2017 staying up with fashion can be a chore. Altr’d State, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21 change on a daily basis, but one thing that has stayed constant is the constant love that our seniors (and our team) have for the sparkly jewelry from Kendra Scott!

John Paull II High School senior, Addie Burlage, is no different when it comes to Kendra, but she definitely wowed our team with her awesome fashion sense – even when she walked out in a ball gown worthy of a Disney Princess.

Even though these Texas seniors love to stay up with the times whether it’s with the new Snapchat filters or the latest Youtube challenge, they honor our traditions with vigor and pride. Cotillion is a

Such a fun session! From Beach Beauty to Softball Superstar

Women in today's world would hardly be recognized by the oppressed and highly-structured women of the 19th century and earlier. Even sixty years ago, women were not so free as they are today to pursue their dreams of being athletes, scientists, and other ‘manly’ jobs. Today, though, is a day where stunning seniors like Taylor Curbow can be both a beauty and a hardcore athlete.

Taylor came to us as a senior model rep back in 2016 from The Colony High School. Wanting to participate in our program, she was a little worried due to her school work and her softball schedule, but we were able to convince her to join our awesome team of models – and boy, are we happy that we did! What a crazy time! We're Just MAD About Our Seniors

The idea of a post-apocalyptic world is not a new one. There are countless movies that are set in this fantastical setting (Mad Max, The Hunger Games, Maze Runner, etc.) and countless authors that have spurred the need to see what our future could look like should there be a nuclear war or some landscape changing natural disaster. We decided it was high-time that we dip our hand in the preverbal pool – and put our own twist on this same idea...

When our team contacted Eric – the airports coordinator, he had a surprise for us. Eric had spoken with an owner of a NC21104 Stinson Reliant SR-10 a.k.a.: a REALLY cool plane.

Tom, the plane’s owner, had found the old plane and completely restored it to it’s original glory. And let us..

These models know how to work it! Modeling is a Walk in the Park - Not

If you think that modeling is as easy as it looks, then Riley, Lauren, and Sophie could tell you a thing or two.

Thankfully, these lovely ladies have modeling experience. While Riley and Sophie are a part of our 2016 Senior Model Team, Lauren had a Model for a Day session with us earlier this year. Normally, we wouldn’t ask models outside of our Senior Model team to join us on a group shoot, but Lauren is Riley’s best friend and it was her birthday!

The seniors from Liberty High School and Flower Mound High School met...

Nathalia looks like a queen on her throne! Go Cruzin' With Our Team

Pardon the pun, but when you have an opportunity as good as that, would you pass it up? Of course not! That’s also what we told Lone Star High School Senior, Nathalia Cruz, when she came to us saying that one of her friends was willing to let us use their mansion as a backdrop for Nathalia’s senior portraits!

When we go to what Nathalia called ‘the house’ we were stunned. Hidden in a neighborhood, the ‘house’ was a sprawling masterpiece. Gorgeous paintings covered the walls and were reflected in the gorgeous marble flooring. With beautiful antique furniture and wide windows, the space was breath taking and had our team gasping every time we entered ...

The bells are jingling, kids are caroling, trees are sparkling, and couples are attempting to ice skate without breaking an ankle. That’s right: it’s Christmas time in Texas.

When Rachel and Maddie met our team at Frisco Square it was mildly cold at 60 degrees. Talk about breathtaking. Our team stared in awe as Georgia Scalfano, a senior this year at Trinity Christian Academy, jumped out of the car and gave her friend a big hug. We were totally unprepared for the sight before us, and we’re sure our faces were a sight to behold.

Little did we know that the week before her Model for a Day session that Georgia would come down with appendicitis! We trudged up the hill of Mt. Zion Cemetery to the music of honking horns, bulldozers, and the general white noise of construction. You would think that we would just throw in the hat and move on to a different location. But, no. Our team was determined to show off Liberty High School Senior, Lauren Burrell, and to capture some bright and lovely photos of her among the tall grass and trees that Mt. Zion is well-known for.

Markee looks gorgeous in this photo. Senior Torn Between Canada and the US

Ok, we’re exaggerating. Heritage High School Senior Markee Williamson has lived in the US for over seven years, so she’s obviously happy living here. Although, she did tell us while we explored Downtown Prosper that she missed poutine, a Canadian delicacy that includes french fries and a large amount of gravy. Our team thinks that we would miss that too.

Markee first reached out to us over the summer, and told us how excited she was to be a senior and how pumped she was to have her senior photos with us! So it was no surprise that we were equally as excited when we were able to have her session soon after school started. With the year slowly moving toward the holidays, and the days begin to shorten, our team was a little nervous we would run out of light before heading out to Downtown Prosper. Cheyenne holds up one of her medals. Three Things You Need to Look Like A Cross Country Star

The three things you need to look like a cross country star!

#1: Have a lot of patience!

Angry screams pierced the cool autumn air. Cheyenne tried her best to keep a smile on her face, but the wailing screams only kept getting louder. Right as the noise reached its peak, Tyler shouted ‘got it!’ and Cheyenne burst into a fit of giggles.

Our team was photographing Heritage High School senior, Cheyenne Allison for her DFW senior portraits at the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve...

Claire gives us a class Audrey Hepburn look! Audrey Hepburn Doppelganger Discovered During Senior Portrait Session

Mist was floating through the air and landing on the colorful leaves and flowers of the Dallas Arboretum as we photographed the gorgeous Claire Rosenbluth. Although it was a very gray day, Claire was stunning against the vibrant colors of the gardens, and really stood out among the trees in a soft white sweater.

A senior at Heritage High School, Claire was unfazed at the news of the dreary forecast for her DFW senior portraits. With a big smile and bright eyes, Claire led us through the maze of gardens and we were lucky to be able to keep up with the future business woman! Having an eye for style, Claire wowed us in a fur vest and a chic all black outfit with cheetah print heels. This offered a stark contrast against her natural surroundings and led to some truly unique and beautiful portraits....

Makenna strikes a power pose on a set of stairs behind a building in Downtown Denton. Colorado Native Crashes Denton Square Rock Festival

When you first roll into the Denton Square, you expect to see a beautifully quaint, small town feel, courthouse – possibly with a few college students scattered around on blankets having picnics or studying. You expect to see the soft lights of Christmas strung up in and around the trees, framed by the infamous Opera house (now a recycled book store), and the atmospheric sounds of maybe a jazz or bluegrass band playing on the corner.

What you do not expect, is a booming, devilish, and wild heavy metal concert – which is unfortunately what Makenna Kinnamon got during the first round of her DFW senior portraits...

Meghan tries to blend with her natural surroundings! Heritage High School Senior Attacked by Dog During Session

It was a nice, quiet afternoon. The sun was streaming through the trees, the creek was bubbling happily, and Tyler was getting ready to photograph Meghan, who was precariously perched on a rock.

Then, the dog attacked.

Ok, maybe it was more like a puppy. And it wasn’t really even an attack, but it did cause Meghan to fall into a fit of giggles and to try and avoid being splashed too badly...

Lauren and Emily do a squad squat! Best Friends go Head-to-Head During DFW Senior Photoshoot

Most people have someone that they call their best friend, but when you look at these photographs, it’s amazing that these two high school seniors are not physically attached at the hip!

Lauren and Emily have been best friends from birth – their mothers went to high school together and had been pretty good friends in their teenage years. When they found out that they were both pregnant at the same time, it’s no wonder Emily and Lauren seem to be bonded not only as friends but as soul sisters....

Caption here. Dancer is Buried in Corn During Senior Portrait Session

Maybe we are being a little dramatic when we say that Jaedyn Avery, a senior at Liberty High School, was buried by corn, but she was definitely covered in it by the time her DFW senior portrait session with us was over!

As a dancer, Jaedyn had requested that we shoot photos of her jumping and leaping across an industrial space, so when we found an empty area in Downtown McKinney where Jaedyn could jump. We didn’t question all of the corn kernels that were laying around on the ground though. After a few minutes, we heard a whirring sound. Confused, our team looked up and found that it had begun to rain corn! Apparently, we had placed ourselves in a corn mill, and the kernels were escaping and pouring all over Jaedyn, who was standing smack dab in the middle of the mill...

Her hair blew back from her face and she narrowed her eyes, putting her game face on – it was time. She crouched down, and launched herself at the incoming soccer ball.

Shelby was sporting a knee brace at the banquet, but she was all healed up when she came to the studio for her Senior Model Rep Session. After her hair and makeup was artfully applied by the amazing Whitney Stiles...

After all of the primping we began with some carefree and fun studio shots. Brianna is on the cheer squad at her school, as well as a competitive cheerleader with Cheer Athletics. It was almost as if her natural state of being was giggling and she had to try to stop for the rest of the pictures...

Hannah Joseph Spectacular White Seamless Studio Shoot Senior Pictures Seamless White Session | Hannah Part 2

Okay so this was one of the best times we have ever had as professional photographers and the results, well in single word, amazing!

Hannah and her sisters met up with us at our studio here in Frisco, TX where we had our white seamless setup all ready to go for her planned “light” session. The concept was to shoot for complete subject isolation against a stark white background. We really wanted to do something special to kick off the 2011 high school senior year, and we thought this was just the trick. We haven’t see a lot of other photographers trying this, so once again, something completely new, and wow, it worked out so well!

I love how Hannah just appears to be suspended in space for these. We took so many photographs, we had to, I think Hannah brought most of her wardrobe! :) We really loved the traditional Indian dresses she brought, the variety made the session special, and sharing it with her hilarious sisters...
