Video Games, Tshirt Collection, and LOTS of Socks
With a world full of pixels, anything is possible. This is one of the many reasons why Liberty Christian Academy High School senior, Dante, wants to go to school next year to study to become a game developer! We had the pleasure of working with Dante for his senior photos and we learned quite a bit about this wonderful north Dallas senior!
Dante is the kind of guy who not only loves video games, but has a very strong faith as well. Active with his church and a leader for youth group, Dante loves spreading the word of God and praying with his family. He is also...
Hear It From a Senior: Maddie Cox
Maddie is one of our lovely 2017 Senior Model Reps from Lone Star High School! She sent us this lovely message and we needed to share it with everyone:
"The Tyler R. Brown Photography Company is nothing short of amazing! My senior pictures were everything I could have ever wanted and beyond! Working with their team was such an amazing experience all around! When I first started to choose my locations they were so helpful in throwing in suggestions of places with such character that I had never heard of.
That’s one of the many amazing parts of being a Senior Model Rep, you get to travel around the DFW area and view so many wonderful places with such character that are so unique that you would have never even thought of...
Roses Are Red and Violet is Alana's Hair Color
Alana is a diamond in the rough and an amazing Top Model! Instead of one regular session, she wanted three mini sessions spread out through the year. We LOVED this idea, especially because Alana’s hair is ever changing.
Our first session was in Deep Ellum, which is perfect fit for Alana’s bright personality! We took full advantage of all the amazing murals in the area and had a few run ins with the locals for a full experience!
Our second session was at Arbor Hills in Plano...
Lost? This Senior Will Find You Wherever You Are
It is not every day that you meet a senior like Josie Drury from Alvarado High School! We were so pumped for this session because Josie brought Moose, her beautiful blood hound, to her senior shoot! These awesome duo works for a non-profit volunteer organization called Search One Rescue Team, or SORT for short. These amazing people donate their time and effort to...
How to Slay Your Senior Session
For most of us born before the 21st century, keeping up with the newer terminology of our current 2017 seniors and the other ‘young people’ of our society can be rather challenging. But it wasn’t hard for our team to learn what the word ‘slay’ means to our current seniors when Prosper High School senior Sydni Moss walked into our studio last October!
To 'slay' does not
To Be or Not To Be Isn't A Question on This Senior's Mind
For a senior in our day in age, figuring out what you want to do with your life is the biggest and hardest question to answer around. But when we asked the lovely Gillian, a senior at Plano West Sr. High School, what she wanted to study in school, it took less than a millisecond for her to tell us about her goals for Broadway.
While she was getting her hair and makeup done by one of our hair and makeup artists, Gillian told us about the many different parts she had held over the years under the stage lights both at school and in professional companies.
Senior Nearly Melts in Prom Dress
Our team can definitely say that we all almost melted during this one, folks. Allison Lewis is probably the toughest senior we have on the team this year – and she can look amazing even in a million layers of chiffon in Texas in the middle of July.
We started out the day at our studio in Frisco, Texas, in the wonderful air conditioning. After getting her hair and makeup done by our team,...
Urban Chic Is The New Little Black Dress
The world of fashion is constantly changing with influences like Eli Saab and Kendra Scott running the town, but it’s never been hard for 2017 Senior Model Rep, Madison Gootman, to keep up.
While Urban Outfitters maybe her favorite place to shop at the moment, Madison is a very down to earth senior who just likes to look ...
Sweet Dreamy Smiles
Precious smiles warm our team’s heart, and when Enzo graced us with a few yawns and a lot of sweet, dreamy smiles our hearts were nearly bursting!
Getting comfy and falling asleep on mom’s shoulder, our team was able to capture a few moments of the little family before we moved Mr. Enzo over to our big bean bag for a nap. Although he was not feeling the best, an...
Stuffed Animals and Coca Cola
Two things matter when you turn one: stuffed animals, and being cute enough to get what you want. And Mr. Lochlyn has both!
Those big blue eyes turned our team to mush, and Lochlyn’s sweet laugh rang through our studio when his mom made faces at him. His favorite part? Reading to his animals! Lochlyn loved to sit among his friends and read to them while our team caught the moment, and his smiles!
We convinced little Lochlyn to sit still for about two seconds in our coca cola wagon, but after that, he was off to get a hug from mom or to play with his stuffed animals! We were so happy to...
Prettier Than A Sunflower
Flowers are beautiful, but there is nothing more gorgeous than a newborn baby girl. Catherine taught us that lesson a few weeks ago during her newborn session in our studio.
We had a blast posing this sleeping beauty in our favorite props, a rustic bucket with a comfy fur, and she fell right asleep for our team. Our favorite thing about Catherine? Those cheeks! They were so precious the entire session that her mom had a hard time not landing a few kisses on them! We also just loved playing with the different headbands we have in our studio, and we can’t wait to get some more!
We are so excited to be working with this...
Our First Love: Mom
After carrying us around for 9 months and enduring all of the ups and downs of pregnancy, it’s no wonder that our first love is always our mothers. They nurture us, hug us, and give us kisses when we need them most. Moms are there to keep us smiling and to teach us how to love the way they...
Ms Hannah Begins Our Journey
Everyone has a starting point and ours was with Ms. Hannah. Born to a dear friend of Tyler and Stacia’s you could argue that Hannah was part of the reason we started to photograph little bundles of joy. Not wanting to take the traditional route of photographing newborns in their birthday suit, Hannah’s mom brought adorable pink knit diaper cover and a matching headband. While her brother and sister played with a few of the toys we keep at the studio, we photographed Hannah all snuggled up in her grandmother’s blanket. Although Hannah was not interested in falling asleep for...
Join Us For A New Adventure
Welcome to our very first blog post as newborn photographers!
As most people in Frisco know, we are one of the prominent senior photographers in the area. So, we’re sure everyone is wondering: why babies? Well, it all started with a pregnancy test. My wife, Stacia, brought the fateful stick to me with a smile on her face. “Surprise!” she had said, and I nearly fainted.
Knowing that a baby would change the..
From A Senior's Perspective: Savannah
Although we love all of our clients, because our Senior Model Reps are with us all year long, we are able to have a special bond with these amazing young people! We love that we get to hang out with them as they move through their senior year, make big decisions for college, and help them have some gorgeous photos that they will have for forever....
Go Cruzin' With Our Team
Pardon the pun, but when you have an opportunity as good as that, would you pass it up? Of course not! That’s also what we told Lone Star High School Senior, Nathalia Cruz, when she came to us saying that one of her friends was willing to let us use their mansion as a backdrop for Nathalia’s senior portraits!
When we go to what Nathalia called ‘the house’ we were stunned. Hidden in a neighborhood, the ‘house’ was a sprawling masterpiece. Gorgeous paintings covered the walls and were reflected in the gorgeous marble flooring. With beautiful antique furniture and wide windows, the space was breath taking and had our team gasping every time we entered ...
Volleyball is Life - Or At Least it is to These Seniors
When you have as many volleyball players as we do on our Senior Model Rep Team – you have to have a volleyball themed session!
Rachel Rhoades, Chelsea Roemer, and Gabi Norsworthy joined us in the studio for a fun and quick session surrounding their favorite game. You should recognize all of these gorgeous young ladies as they have been in multiple shoots with us. Rachel’s been in the Summer Florals Session earlier this year, as well as the recent Winter session, and...
A New Years Resolution That'll Have You Throwing Your Guns Up
As we start off the New Year, we all have our resolutions. Whether yours is to lose weight, to make more money, or to spend more time with your family – it’s no surprise that with change comes hardships. For this Hobbs High School senior though, change is nothing but a good thing.
Leslie Shows drove all the way from Hobbs, New Mexico, to come to our studio in North Dallas for her basic senior session. While they were still stretching from the 6 hour drive, Leslie...
Rising Star Takes Senior Portraits in Frisco
It’s not often that we have clients whose neighborhoods are so beautiful that you want to photograph them in it! Raven Donner, a senior this year at Frisco High School, came to us for a Model for a Day session which means she gets unlimited locations along with more than six hours of session time with our team. She had one unusual request: that we take some photos of her in her neighborhood.
Now, Raven doesn’t live in just any neighborhood. Raven lives in Willow Pond – a sprawling neighborhood with pockets of gorgeous...
Basketball Player Throws Photographer For A Hoop
We know the saying is that someone is ‘thrown for a loop’ but we couldn’t pass up the invariable pun for Lauren’s favorite sport. Lauren McKeen is a senior this year at Frisco Liberty High School, and a star player on their varsity basketball team. While having her hair and makeup done, Lauren told our team that she plans on playing in college next year and we can’t wait to see where she decides to go!
As we worked through a few poses in the studio to loosen up, Lauren told us that she lives in Newman Village just down the street from the studio! So we...
How To Get A Newborn To Fall Asleep
Most people know how little sleep most people get when they have a new baby, and now we know why! Getting a newborn to fall asleep can be very difficult, and this was something we discovered when we had sweet L.J. in our studio for his newborn portraits.
L.J.’s mom was another friend of the team, so when we learned that she only had hospital photos of little L.J. there was no hesitation to have them into the studio for a short session. However...
Senior Nearly Falls Off Car During Senior Shoot
There are few people in this world that are as sweet as John Paul II high school senior, Kaitlyn Batson. With a face full of freckles, Kaitlyn told our team that she’s always trying to keep a smile on our face, and she easily put one on ours!
After a short warm-up in the studio, Kaitlyn led our team around Downtown McKinney in the cool fall air. With some neat textured walls and old brick, we found...
Splish Splash! This Senior Had A Blast
When Senior Model Rep, Maddie Snowden, approached us asking if we could do a short swim shoot, our team was more than excited. Our studio is equipped with a large variety of backgrounds and props, but one of our favorite features...
Senior or Mermaid? You Decide
For someone who spends close to 50% of her time in the pool, Heritage High School Senior, Maddie Snowden, was more than willing to jump in the water for our team. We were not at all surprised that Maddie was friends with alumni senior model rep, Hannah Mabile, who had a swim session with us back in 2014. These two girls...
Football Player Breaks Stereotypes and Amazes Photographer
Everyone knows the stories, the movies, even the comics. The jocks, usually football players, bully the underdog and are seen as gruesome representations of oversized teenagers. Not this time!
Senior Model Rep, Jake Ray, has to be the nicest guy on the planet. Tall and broad shouldered, Jake certainly fits into the football world, but after the sessions we’ve had the pleasure to photograph him in, we can definitely say that Jake breaks all pretenses of the stereotypical football player. Not only is Jake kind, but he is extremely talented and told our team that he’s positive that...
Dancer Drowns in Talent
Not many people want to take on the challenge of looking flawless on a hot summer day in Texas, but Senior Model Rep Lizzie Buccambuso took it in stride and came out on top of the game!
Take our word for it when we say this senior is spunky! With a gorgeous face and a sassy attitude, our team loved photographing Lizzie in our studio. Our assistants joked that they couldn’t even manage a cartwheel while...
The Secret Life of a Glamazon
With a mom for a judge, it’s no wonder that Senior Model Rep, Rachel Rhoades, is a force to be reckoned with. Much like the Amazonians, strong women must run in the Rhoades family, because when Rachel waltzed into our studio, she brought her aunt Lee with her ...
Best Friends Really Are Forever
Best friends are a vital part of life, and when we met Kyra, it was no wonder that she was meant to be Carly’s best friend.
Carly had won a free best friend shoot from one of our model challenges, a perk of being a Senior Model Rep. She told us ahead of time that because she had so much fun on her Rock n’ Roll shoot with Myrna Phillips in our studio that she wanted to have her shoot with Kyra there!
After having some fun...
Musicians Crash Studio Shoot
With the graduation of our 2015 Senior Model Reps, comes a whole new group of models! This year we are excited to introduce not one but two groups - our TRB Top Models and our TRB Elite Models. Our first group session of the year included three of our lovely new TRB Top Models - Madeline, Carly, and Morgan, who joined us in the studio on a rainy Saturday for a rockin’ shoot with our favorite jewelry designer, Myrna Phillips!
Inspired by the classics, we had...
Ding Ding Ding! Round One of Our Cap and Gown Shoots
It’s a good thing the rain can’t make it into our studio because we had our first round of our annual cap and gown shoots! We had a parade of gorgeous girls from all over the DFW metroplex, and we kicked our whirlwind shoot with senior model rep Brooke Sauls! Brooke, a senior from McKinney North is heading off to Wartburg University in Iowa for school in the fall!
We were soon joined by Jordan and Haley, seniors from Centennial and Heritage High School...
Senior Stops Rain for Senior Shoot
With a last name like Rachel Brown’s, how could she not have her DFW senior portraits with our studio! It had been a rainy week, and the day of Rachel’s shoot wasn’t going to be any different. Already having to reschedule once due to tornados, our team was determined to get this Brown into our studio rain or shine! Lady luck seemed to be on our side as we headed out
Three Things You Need to Look Like A Cross Country Star
The three things you need to look like a cross country star!
#1: Have a lot of patience!
Angry screams pierced the cool autumn air. Cheyenne tried her best to keep a smile on her face, but the wailing screams only kept getting louder. Right as the noise reached its peak, Tyler shouted ‘got it!’ and Cheyenne burst into a fit of giggles.
Our team was photographing Heritage High School senior, Cheyenne Allison for her DFW senior portraits at the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve...
Colorado Native Crashes Denton Square Rock Festival
When you first roll into the Denton Square, you expect to see a beautifully quaint, small town feel, courthouse – possibly with a few college students scattered around on blankets having picnics or studying. You expect to see the soft lights of Christmas strung up in and around the trees, framed by the infamous Opera house (now a recycled book store), and the atmospheric sounds of maybe a jazz or bluegrass band playing on the corner.
What you do not expect, is a booming, devilish, and wild heavy metal concert – which is unfortunately what Makenna Kinnamon got during the first round of her DFW senior portraits...
Heritage High School Senior Attacked by Dog During Session
It was a nice, quiet afternoon. The sun was streaming through the trees, the creek was bubbling happily, and Tyler was getting ready to photograph Meghan, who was precariously perched on a rock.
Then, the dog attacked.
Ok, maybe it was more like a puppy. And it wasn’t really even an attack, but it did cause Meghan to fall into a fit of giggles and to try and avoid being splashed too badly...
NOOO GOAAAAAAAAALLL!! Logan Really Scores During Her Senior Portrait Session
The crowd went silent as Logan took her stance in the middle of the net. She faced her opponent, determined not to let the ball cross over the line that would allow the other team the extra point to win the game. Her hair blew back from her face and she narrowed her eyes, putting her game face on – it was time. She crouched down, and launched herself at the incoming soccer ball.
And then Logan landed on the pillows in our studio.
As a goalie for Fury, a DFW soccer club, Logan’s life revolves around those pesky soccer balls, and we had her bring her gear to the studio for some athletic shots to go along with her senior portrait session with us...
Fashionista Makes Waves in Frisco During Senior Portrait Session
Long hair, high cheek bones, and piercing brown eyes are just a few of the things that make Tia Nayar a beautiful person! She is not only extremely glamorous, she’s very giving – Tia spends a lot of her free time volunteering in her community, coaching younger athletes, and tutoring other students at Liberty High School, in Frisco, Texas.
The volleyball all-star was awarded the title of Captain her junior year at Liberty High School, and when we asked her what her college plans were during our shoot at the Shops of Legacy she told us: “I am looking to get a volleyball scholarship! I haven’t narrowed down the list yet.”...
This Heritage High School Highstepper Kicked It With Us At Our Studio And Downtown McKinney
You better recognize this Heritage Highstepper’s talent! We had Alex McKay kicking her way across our studio during her senior portrait session – and man can she high step!
Did you know High school high stepping was created back in 1929 in Greenville, Texas, by Ms. Gussie Nell Davis – the founder of the prestigious Rangerettes? We learned that the original purpose behind creating the dance and drill teams was to give girls who could not tumble like the cheerleaders a chance to participate in football games, but when Miss Davis was contacted by the President of Kilgore College, she was given the challenge to create a group that would “be interesting and keep the folks in their seats at half-time...
Tractors, Downtown McKinney, and One Pretty Lady - Bella's Senior Pictures
Our shoot with senior, Bella Deen was extraordinary! She attends McKinney North High School and brought her mother, Summer, along to the studio to kick off her session! The glamorous Whitney Stiles got right to work in perfecting our lovely model. In the studio, we brought out the ol’ stars and stripes for some iconic and meaningful photographs - Bella’s boyfriend is in the military and the pink shirt she is wearing is a support the troops shirt...

Ethan Luman was also with us for this shoot, but he turned down our offer to wear some of the sparkling pieces..

After Erica had perfected these gorgeous ladies, they hit the studio with Tyler for a few shots. Let me tell you – our models brought the sass at this model rep group session...
A Model Rep Session in the Country with Brooke, Kristin, and Lexi
Our Senior Rep Models got a taste of the Texas countryside when we headed to Luscombe Farms for a group session with Brooke, Kristin, and Lexi. They handled it like the southern belles that they truly are.

2015 Model Rep Ice Breaker Party
It was raining models at our first 2015 Model Rep Party this summer! Okay, maybe not raining models, but it was raining! We celebrated one of the last weekends of summer with many of our amazing Model Reps and their friends.
As our models, and their friends, arrived at the studio, we handed each of them a card with their name on one side and a number on the other. This was the first of several games and a great ice breaker...

We invited some of our models to bring their significant other or a friend to our Valentine Shoot this past weekend and we had such a great time! We decorated the studio with a table full of candy, cupcakes, cake balls, and Kool Aid, hung red and pink paper lanterns, and even had a huge teddy bear. Once Brad, Chabeli, Marissa and their friends arrived, we turned up the music and starting taking pictures right away. One thing we love about our 2014 senior model reps is the fact that they all have a great time in front of the camera and they aren’t afraid to act a little goofy...

Heritage High School Runner and 2014 Senior Model Rep Marissa's Session
Marissa is one of our amazing senior model reps for 2014. Marissa is reigning Ms. Pre-Teen Ohio and not new to being in front of the camera. We really enjoyed our sessions with Marissa, especially the time we spent with her on the track. She was giving our equipment fits trying to focus on her and her blazing speed. I guess that is why they made her captain of the Heritage High School track team! Marissa is also a cheerleader with Cheer Athletics and is active with her church...

We were so excited when Hannah became one of our 2014 Senior Model Reps! We love working with seniors who are involved in different sports and activities so we can really focus on creating senior portraits that are unique to that specific senior. With Hannah being our first swimmer, we had tons of ideas. So many ideas, in fact, that we were only able to do half of Hannah's session!
For this half of her session we decided to start in our studio with white and pink backdrops, then headed over to Frisco Square for some great backgrounds, before finishing up in the studio pool...

A Quick Senior Portrait Studio Session with Sam
Sam and his mother dropped by for a quick basic session. To say Sam was reluctant to have his senior portraits made would be an understatement but mom was determined and so were we. We ended up having a good time and we were able to get Sam to loosen up and enjoy the process. His portraits turned out great and you can really see his personality in a few of them...

An Entertaining Portrait Session with the Evans Family!
When Mark and the Evans family asked us to take their family portraits we were excited to capture this hilarious crew. They are so much fun to be around and they have become excellent family friends. Mark is a riot. He told Stacia and I that he was going to email Heather and tell her that he wasn’t happy with his portraits and within about 5 minutes, Heather called me all in a panic. Cruel but hilarious. They loved...
A Spring Break Session with Alex Schenck!
Alex was home from school in Minnesota over spring break and her mom thought it would be a good time to have her senior portraits taken. I must say, Alex was one of the easiest seniors we have ever had the pleasure of photographing. She would literally giggle on command. It was almost as if her natural state of being was giggling and she had to try to stop for the rest of the pictures...
Jonathan’s GQ Senior Portrait Session in Downtown McKinney
Jonathan is graduating from Wylie High School, Class of 2013. We started his session in our studio with just him and his guitar. Jonathan is a musician at Fellowship Church Plano, and happens to be good friends with one of our previous clients, drummer Josh Rainey. One has to wonder if these two cats have ever sat down together and jammed?
Heritage High School Senior Pictures with Cheerleader Bryn
Bryn is quite the character and a lot of fun to photograph. Both her studio session and her outdoor session at Adriatica Village turned out great, but I think we had the most fun out by the pool. Bryn really wanted a few photographs in the water, so we gave it a go. It was a lot of fun trying to keep her from floating up, thankfully I have some SCUBA gear...
Senior Picture Tips With Holly
Senior Holly would rather be on the other side of the camera, which she reminded me of several times during her high school senior portraits. We had good time goofing off, and I know both her and mom (Jan) got a good laugh when I pulled over the entire set I had put up for her session and it all came crashing down on my head! Good thing Holly wasn't on the other side of the the camera for all...
Ursuline Academy Senior Emilee And... The Hunger Games!
Emilee is a 2012 senior at Ursuline Academy in Dallas. She, along with her mom drove up to our Frisco studio for her senior portrait session. She loves reading and her current obsession is with The Hunger Games, you can tell by a couple of her awesome pictures. Perhaps, someday we’ll be reading novels...
Africa Bound Senior Jonathan's Studio Session
Jonathan just needed some quick photos made before he headed off to Africa, more on that in a bit! Jonathan is a basketball player, and like his sister quite the athlete! He is also very involved in his church. He worked very hard to raise the funds necessary to pay his own way on a "Youth With a Mission" trip to Tanzania in East Africa! We are so excited for him, it will be a once in a life time experience and I know he will have a great...
Unique Allen Senior Portraits with Charis Orr
Charis comes to us from Allen High School and was a model for a day. We kicked off her shoot in studio, with lots of shoes! This girl loves her shoes and she wasn’t afraid to bring them. After packing up our gear, we headed out to Adriatica Village, McKinney, Texas. We wandered around the village capturing Charis’ personality with a multitude of backdrops.
Next stop, Dallas West End… Driving down the road, with Charis and parents following, we spot some old farm equipment in a pasture just off the road. We were on the breaks and off roading; this was an opportunity we were not going to miss out on! Old rusted out farm equipment, weeds and tall grasses, large open field, long-standing fence line, golden sun…add gorgeous girl, walk away with absolutely stunning...
Need senior picture ideas? Be like Megan, bring your guitar!
Megan comes to us from Plano East High School where she's involved in Orchestra and loves to play guitar. She was a little shy at first, and I imagined she was asking herself, "how do I open up for my senior portraits". I had a ton of good ideas for senior portraits, but they all hinged on Megan having fun. Being the goofball that I am...
Senior Pictures in Dallas | Sarah
Sarah is a beautiful young lady – with an absolutely stunning smile and gorgeous eyes, she made our job so easy! Sarah is a senior at J.J. Pearce High School. We spent a little time at The Shops at Legacy and then finished up in the studio with the white seamless. I love how these make you want to go out and buy the clothes she’s wearing! She could have a real future in modeling if professional soccer doesn’t work out for her. ;)
Hey seniors, don’t forget to check out our official senior portrait website and book us now! We are booking spring and summer sessions now, and...
