The Fort Worth Stock Yards is all about the history of DFW. Some of the buildings are nearly 100 years old, and among the horse stalls and the cattle, there are amazing little shops and restaurants to stop in at for a small break from the heat. There's also a very iconic water tower and you're bound to see some Texas cactus along the way! The only down side is that you do have to pay for parking, but it's only $5 for a whole day!
