High School Senior Travels from China for Her Senior Portrait Session
Ok so maybe she’s lived in the Dallas area for 3 years, but Cora Seelman really was born in China! This Senior Model Rep does it all; NHS, student council, captain of both the varsity cheerleading squad and the Desperados - a country-western dance team at Richardson High School that perform at pep rallies doing stunts and gravity defying routines, as well as a chair person on the prom committee. Just listing it all makes our head spin, but Cora just giggled and said that she...
Friends and Boyfriend Crash Senior Portrait Session
Standing in the middle of the street usually isn’t advisable, but Mikaela Tisdale, a senior at Wakeland High School showed no fear striking a pose at the Shops of Legacy during her DFW senior portrait session. This bravery may have been honed through her time as a third baseman for her high school’s softball team, and let us tell you, being on a high school varsity sport is not an easy thing to accomplish!
Admiring the lights that were put up for the holiday season, we strolled around the Shops at Legacy with Mikaela and her boyfriend, Addison. When the subject of college came up...
Tornado Nearly Sweeps Away Senior During Her Portrait Session
Wind whisked along the grassy hills of Luscombe Farms as our team tried it’s best to stay warm. Senior Jordan Whittle led the way across the farm to a small shack in the back of the property, smiling all of the way and making a joke or two. Although it was freezing and so windy there could have been a tornado, this Senior Model Rep was not letting it get her down and she was clearly enjoying her DFW senior portrait session with us...
Are You as Nimble as This Senior? We Don’t Think So
Gorgeous, a gymnast, a reader, and a braniac; Shannon Dyer is a senior after our hearts. When we photographed her older sister, Lauren, back in 2012, we knew that she was a hoot and couldn’t expect anything less from Shannon! With a spritely attitude and an outgoing spirit, Shannon dazzled us with her smile and big blue eyes as we strolled along the paths at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas.
While walking through the denser part of the woods, we found a side of the creek that runs through Arbor Hills that we have not seen before...
How to Graduate High School Early and Keep God as a Key Player in Your Life
Soft light streamed through the stained glass windows as our footsteps echoed through the high ceilings of the sanctuary. Madison DeVor smiled at our team as we gaped at the gorgeous patterns and textured walls of the Old Church Restored, a church in Whitesboro, Texas.
Madison and her mother are good friends with the family who bought and restored the old church, so they very graciously allowed us to photograph Madison there for her DFW senior portraits! This senior is not only beautiful, but she is extremely smart! She is the only senior in our Senior Model Rep Program to be graduating early, and she told us that her plan is to begin a community college to gain more credits as soon as she graduates in the spring...
How To Rock a Leather Skirt This Winter Season
Our team stood in a shocked silence. It was happening again, and there was nothing they could do about it. Macy was on the verge of tears while Tyler let out a nervous chuckle. All they could think about was the catastrophe that happened during Makenna Kinnamon’s first DFW senior shoot when they headed to Denton, Texas only to find a rock festival taking place, and it seemed that it was happening all over again to another senior model rep, Taylor Hernandez...
When Geese Attack – A Seriously Fowl Situation
A gallant yell emerged from our studio as Liberty High School senior, Ethan Luman, roared into the camera followed by laughter as our team roared along with him. We had Ethan’s session at White Rock Lake, where we met Ethan and his mother Cara for his Dallas senior portrait session. Ethan is the eldest of four with a younger sister and twin younger brothers who he says always put smiles on his face.
It was an unseasonably warm day, and we were taking full advantage of it along with other Dallas natives who were jogging along the gorgeous paths lined with fall colored trees. One gentleman was sporting some bright orange running shorts, and Ethan, being outgoing, waved him down to let him know “how awesome” he thought the man’s shorts were...
Rising Star Takes Senior Portraits in Frisco
It’s not often that we have clients whose neighborhoods are so beautiful that you want to photograph them in it! Raven Donner, a senior this year at Frisco High School, came to us for a Model for a Day session which means she gets unlimited locations along with more than six hours of session time with our team. She had one unusual request: that we take some photos of her in her neighborhood.
Now, Raven doesn’t live in just any neighborhood. Raven lives in Willow Pond – a sprawling neighborhood with pockets of gorgeous...
Seniors Caught Throwing Party in Photographer's Studio
Should Old Acquaintance be forgot, and never thought upon;
The opening lines of Auld Lang Syne seem a little morbid, but when you think about it, it’s actually quite beautiful. It means letting go of your past and celebrating the new times ahead. You can let go of your worries, and have a chance at making the change for the better. Did you know that January 1st was chosen for the first day of the New Year because it is light precisely the same amount of time it is dark. Our seniors chose to celebrate this occasion with us in our studio in Frisco, Texas with pizza from Pizza Hut, cupcakes, and a lot of sparkle...
Three Things You Need to Look Like A Cross Country Star
The three things you need to look like a cross country star!
#1: Have a lot of patience!
Angry screams pierced the cool autumn air. Cheyenne tried her best to keep a smile on her face, but the wailing screams only kept getting louder. Right as the noise reached its peak, Tyler shouted ‘got it!’ and Cheyenne burst into a fit of giggles.
Our team was photographing Heritage High School senior, Cheyenne Allison for her DFW senior portraits at the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve...
Audrey Hepburn Doppelganger Discovered During Senior Portrait Session
Mist was floating through the air and landing on the colorful leaves and flowers of the Dallas Arboretum as we photographed the gorgeous Claire Rosenbluth. Although it was a very gray day, Claire was stunning against the vibrant colors of the gardens, and really stood out among the trees in a soft white sweater.
A senior at Heritage High School, Claire was unfazed at the news of the dreary forecast for her DFW senior portraits. With a big smile and bright eyes, Claire led us through the maze of gardens and we were lucky to be able to keep up with the future business woman! Having an eye for style, Claire wowed us in a fur vest and a chic all black outfit with cheetah print heels. This offered a stark contrast against her natural surroundings and led to some truly unique and beautiful portraits....
Family Outshines Texas Countryside During Portrait Session
Easy-going, happy, and fun-loving are just a few of the words that we would use to describe the Underwood family. We met Kayla Underwood when she had her DFW senior portrait session with us back in October, and when Kacie, Kayla’s mother, saw how fantastic Kayla’s portraits were she decided to have their family’s portrait done with us as well!
A busy family, we met up with the Underwoods on a Friday evening at Luscombe Farms in Anna, Texas for some traditional and non-traditional family portraits. While Kayla is a senior this year at Heritage High School, Kyler, her brother attends Independence High School and is on their baseball team...
Cheerleader Fends off Spider at Luscombe Farms
Olivia told us as we strolled down the streets of Downtown McKinney that she is a senior at Heritage High School. She heard about us through her good friend Kayla Underwood, who you may know from her North Dallas senior shoot with us.
Luscombe Farms and Downtown McKinney are very popular spots to have your senior photos taken, and Olivia couldn’t decide which one she liked more, so we did...
Colorado Native Crashes Denton Square Rock Festival
When you first roll into the Denton Square, you expect to see a beautifully quaint, small town feel, courthouse – possibly with a few college students scattered around on blankets having picnics or studying. You expect to see the soft lights of Christmas strung up in and around the trees, framed by the infamous Opera house (now a recycled book store), and the atmospheric sounds of maybe a jazz or bluegrass band playing on the corner.
What you do not expect, is a booming, devilish, and wild heavy metal concert – which is unfortunately what Makenna Kinnamon got during the first round of her DFW senior portraits...
Heritage High School Senior Attacked by Dog During Session
It was a nice, quiet afternoon. The sun was streaming through the trees, the creek was bubbling happily, and Tyler was getting ready to photograph Meghan, who was precariously perched on a rock.
Then, the dog attacked.
Ok, maybe it was more like a puppy. And it wasn’t really even an attack, but it did cause Meghan to fall into a fit of giggles and to try and avoid being splashed too badly...
Best Friends go Head-to-Head During DFW Senior Photoshoot
Most people have someone that they call their best friend, but when you look at these photographs, it’s amazing that these two high school seniors are not physically attached at the hip!
Lauren and Emily have been best friends from birth – their mothers went to high school together and had been pretty good friends in their teenage years. When they found out that they were both pregnant at the same time, it’s no wonder Emily and Lauren seem to be bonded not only as friends but as soul sisters....
Spotted! Boho Beauty in Natural Habitat
Being a model can be difficult, but nature has a way of making it even more difficult to look as good as Shannon Milburn does in front of the camera!
It was a very windy day when Shannon met us at Mt. Zion Cemetery to begin her DFW senior portrait shoot with us, but this boho beauty was not deterred, especially since the sun was out and shining brightly. Shannon is a senior at Lucas Christian Academy, where she met one of her close friends and fellow Senior Model Rep, Lexi Maashio who you may recognize from a Senior Model Rep session at Luscombe Farms....
Dancer is Buried in Corn During Senior Portrait Session
Maybe we are being a little dramatic when we say that Jaedyn Avery, a senior at Liberty High School, was buried by corn, but she was definitely covered in it by the time her DFW senior portrait session with us was over!
As a dancer, Jaedyn had requested that we shoot photos of her jumping and leaping across an industrial space, so when we found an empty area in Downtown McKinney where Jaedyn could jump. We didn’t question all of the corn kernels that were laying around on the ground though. After a few minutes, we heard a whirring sound. Confused, our team looked up and found that it had begun to rain corn! Apparently, we had placed ourselves in a corn mill, and the kernels were escaping and pouring all over Jaedyn, who was standing smack dab in the middle of the mill...
How to Keep Ghouls From Getting Into Your House This Halloween
We decided to visit the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina, Texas for our first annual pumpkin patch themed session. This farm had everything you could want from a traditional visit: farm animals, hay rides, a maze, and of course an assortment of pumpkins!
Haley Rodriguez and Brooke Sauls are two of our models from our Model Rep Program this year! Haley, a senior at Heritage High School, was featured in our very first Senior Model Rep Session this year with model and friend, Shannon Dyer. We admire Haley’s softball skills, so we made sure to stop by a softball field on our way out to the pumpkin patch...
NOOO GOAAAAAAAAALLL!! Logan Really Scores During Her Senior Portrait Session
The crowd went silent as Logan took her stance in the middle of the net. She faced her opponent, determined not to let the ball cross over the line that would allow the other team the extra point to win the game. Her hair blew back from her face and she narrowed her eyes, putting her game face on – it was time. She crouched down, and launched herself at the incoming soccer ball.
And then Logan landed on the pillows in our studio.
As a goalie for Fury, a DFW soccer club, Logan’s life revolves around those pesky soccer balls, and we had her bring her gear to the studio for some athletic shots to go along with her senior portrait session with us...
