Downtown McKinney is a wonderful place to take senior portraits and can be found just 30 miles North of Dallas. One of the reasons this is such a great place to shoot is because it’s a very authentic and historic city. There are around 100 unique shops and about 12 restaurants in the downtown area. You can also find a variety of specialty shops, art galleries, antique stores, and apparel boutiques in the area. Downtown McKinney offers a wide range of lovely textures for senior portraits such as brick walls, a lovely fountain, a small park area, and the main street makes for a fun picture as well. Be sure to check it out during the fall season when they have hay bales and other decorations around the town.

There are few places more fantastic for fun senior portraits! Nice hard textures make bright colors pop, but a spring dress and some blue jeans really look terrific with this landscape. Although formal outfits can be fun, it's easier to run around this location in more laid back clothes that have been dressed up with accessories!
