It’s recommended that you book your newborn’s session before your due date, however, we can schedule your session at any time. We are extremely flexible with schedules as we know that babies are unpredictable in nature and will come when they want to! We will schedule you on a date around your expected due date and change it around as needed. Typically, we photograph all newborns between five and ten days after birth. Although we will schedule newborns at any age, we strongly encourage our clients to schedule their child’s session before they are two weeks old.

We photograph in our studio for newborns, but we will soon be expanding outdoors for infants/toddlers. We have a multitude of props to play with and we are always open to ideas! We’ll talk through this during your free pre-session consultation. If you have an idea, mention it! After all, this is all about you and your family!
Yes we do! Our entire team is trained in infant CPR and we also have baby safety training and newborn posing safety training from world renowned professionals. Let us know if you have questions about our training!
Our newborn sessions last about 2 hours and vary slightly with each child. Our infant/toddler sessions last between 1-2 hours.
On average, your images are ready 2-3 weeks after the session
After your session has been booked, we will schedule a time for you and your family to come to our studio to view all of the images. This viewing session is also the time that you will make decisions about what prints and products you would like to order.
Yes, Tyler R. Brown Photography does extensive retouching and applies artistic effects to every image that is shown during the preview session. If you see something that you don’t like during your viewing session, let us know and it will be fixed before any orders are placed.
We ask that you attempt to reschedule at least 24 hours in advance but understand that some situations will not allow for 24 hour notice. Session fees are non-refundable but may be applied to a future session should you need to reschedule. Please note: if you bring a sick child to the studio, we will have to send you home due to safety reasons and there will be a $50 rescheduling fee applied.
Not to worry! Almost everyone has days with less than perfect skin. Our process is to remove such blemishes, bumps, and bruises from images before you see the final product! Don’t sweat it!
Upon booking with Tyler R. Brown Photography, we will send you a document with tips and a list of suggested things you should bring. We will also give an over the phone consultation and discuss outfits, props, and expectations!
No. In fact, we’d prefer that you bring too many! This will give us more options to coordinate with various backgrounds. We may not use all of the outfits you bring, but it’s better to have them, instead of walking away saying “I wish I had that one outfit”. And remember accessorize!
Well, you could…but we can pretty much guarantee you won’t be happy with the results. It takes much more than having a nice camera to be a good photographer. After all, buying a sweet guitar doesn’t make you a rock star! It takes the combination of our photography training, knowledge of proper portrait lighting, and post-production editing, to make you look your best. Our camera, lenses, strobes, and additional equipment are high-end, professional-grade tools.
